Coastal wind knocking your dish out of alignment?
We use secure, weather-rated mounts around the lake so the dish stays put and stays aligned through summer storms.
Starlink installation
What happens when you book a Starlink install
From the first call to your first speed test, here is exactly how we get your dish mounted, aligned and online.
-
Step 1
Tell us about the property
Roof type, building height and where you want WiFi. Let us know if the kit has arrived yet — we can book around delivery.
-
Step 2
Sky-view survey
On site we check obstructions from trees and structures with the Starlink app, then agree the mount position and cable route with you before drilling.
-
Step 3
Mount & cable
The dish is fixed to a rated roof, wall or pole mount, the cable weatherproofed and run neatly inside to where the router works best.
-
Step 4
Router setup & speed test
We set up the router, connect your devices, and test speed and coverage in the rooms you use before we pack up.
Secure, weatherproof mounts
Rated mounting hardware and sealed penetrations built for Hunter weather.
Clear-sky positioning
Placement checked for obstructions so the connection holds year-round.
Online the same visit
Most installs are mounted, connected and tested in a single callout.
What this service includes
Lake Macquarie is a harder place to mount a Starlink dish than it looks. Mature trees, two-storey neighbours and steep roof pitches all get between the dish and the sky, and the spot that seems obvious from the ground is often the wrong one.
FibrePros installs Starlink across Lake Macquarie, starting with an assessment of where the sky is genuinely clear rather than where the mount is easiest to fit.
How we approach it
- Check sight lines from several positions before choosing a mount point.
- Mount to roof, wall or pole, fixed properly for coastal weather.
- Run the cable in neatly and set the router where the coverage is needed.
- Test speeds in the rooms you use and hand over a working setup.
What blocks a signal here
- Established trees, which keep growing after the install.
- Neighbouring rooflines on tighter blocks.
- Dishes fitted DIY to whatever surface was reachable.
If the dish is already up
A system that started well and has slowed is usually an obstruction problem rather than a service problem. That is a relocation rather than a new install, and it is often the cheaper fix.

Answers before you book
Still not sure whether this is the right fix for your setup? Call and describe what is happening — we will tell you straight.
Call 0409 522 598How soon can you come out?
Same-day and next-day callouts are available across our service area. Call us and we will tell you honestly when a technician can be there rather than booking you in blind.
Which areas do you cover?
Newcastle, Maitland, Lake Macquarie, Cessnock and the wider Hunter Valley, including rural properties where connectivity options are limited.
Will I know the plan before work starts?
Yes. We assess the site, explain what needs doing and talk through the options with you before anything is drilled, run or mounted.
Is the work compliant?
Cabling and installation work is carried out by licensed technicians to Australian standards, with tidy, concealed routing and tested terminations.
What happens if something is not right afterwards?
We test speeds and coverage with you before handover, so problems get found while we are still on site. If something changes later, call us and we will come back and look at it.
